#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • The Independent republishes a Conversation article co-written by Dr Amy Gresham (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) about the diet of fallow deer in the UK.
  • Daily Mail reported on NASA’s warning about rising sea levels, with Professor Richard Allan (Meteorology) describing the situation as a "catastrophe." Republished by MSN.
  • National Geographic features Dr James O'Donoghue (Meteorology) commenting on Saturn's growing fleet of moons.
  • Birmingham Mail quotes Professor Hannah Cloke (Meteorology/Geography), who warns that the south of England is facing increasing pressure on water resources.
  • Greatest Hits Radio interviewed Dr Jonathan Dale (Geography and Environmental Science) discussing his team's research on reintroducing salt marshes to coastal England due to climate pressures.

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biomedical Sciences) was interviewed on ITV 1 Meridian emphasising the importance of good hygiene in controlling norovirus.
  • WomenStuff reported on a University study published in the National Library of Medicine, which found that mushroom consumers exhibited better cognitive performance than non-consumers

  • FNB News highlights that Professor Keshavan Niranjan (Food and Nutritional Sciences) discussed his research into sustainable packaging at the AFST Mumbai conference.

Heritage and culture:

  • Greatest Hits Radio spoke to Professor Michael Fulford (Archaeology) about his upcoming talks about the ancient Roman  town of Silchester. From our story: Explore Roman town with Reading archaeologist’s guided tour

  • People Management reported on a study by Henley Business School and Mental Health First Aid England, which found a decline in workplace psychological safety over the past five years.
