Long-range weather forecasting: Following a visit to campus last week, Guardian journalist Robin McKie has produced a story for The Observer on Reading’s involvement in a 15-year research programme, in collaboration with the Met Office and ECMWF, to enhance the accuracy of weather predictions, up to a month in advance. Professor Rowan Sutton, Professor Sarah Dance, Professor Chris Merchant and Professor Pier Luigi Vidale (all Meteorology) are quoted within the piece, which is republished by TechnoSpace2, Yahoo!
