COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic 

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biomedical Sciences) is quoted in the Daily Mail, suggesting that the new Covid-19 variant, Pirola, isn’t any more harmful than other variants. Also republished by Sound Health and Lasting Wealth and Express Digest.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment  

  • Professor Chris Hilson was interviewed by Civil Service World (in print) about the UK’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.  
  • Dr James Ryalls (Sustainable Land Management) co-writes an article for The Conversation (republished by Big News Network) regarding the ways in which air pollution is making life tougher for bugs. Read our news story.
