University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

Red kite research: PhD Student, Juliette Waterman (Archaeology), was interviewed by BBC 1 South on her research on the impact feeding red kites has on the birds' behaviour. Her research is reported on by The Reading Chronicle and Knowledia. Read our news story.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Professor Hannah Cloke (Geography/Meteorology) was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 for a feature on the continued impact drought has on various areas of the UK.
  • Professor Nigel Arnell (Meteorology) comments to Zephyr Net on the UK's Climate Resilience Programme approach to projecting future climate hazards.

Business and society:

  • Professor Benjamin Laker (Henley Business School) wrote an article for Forbes on how to create inclusive workplaces, and he is quoted by Tech Target on the ethics of monitoring hybrid or remote employees. 
  • Dr Rita Fontinha (Henley Business School) is interviewed by Head Topics, Imprensade Hoje, Ardina, and Jornalde Negocios on her role in co-coordinating a pilot of the four-day workweek in Portugal. 
  • Specification Magazine (in print) highlights a report by Professor Stuart Green (Construction Management) on procurement practices in the fit-out sector.
  • Professor Bernd Vogel (Henley Business School) is quoted by Business Ghana on the importance of optimistic leaders. 
  • Healthcare News Desk mentions Henley Business School's collaborative research on Enterprise Architecture and the importance of technology in driving business value. 
  • Care Home reports that the University hosted a talk on the future of care homes in the built environment.
