University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

Food and farming:

 

  • Professor Julie Lovegrove (Food and Nutritional Sciences) is quoted by Popular Science, News Break, MSN, Delecious Food, and others on the University's research project, 'Raising The Pulse', which aims to increase consumption of UK-grown pulses for their positive effect on health and the environment. Read our news story.
  • Farmers Weekly mentions gross margins on farmland conducted by the University.  

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment 

  • Wokingham Today reports on University findings that high atmospheric pressure can increase water's boiling point, quoting Professor Giles Harrison (Meteorology) on how this happens, and mentioning Dr Stephen Burt's (Meteorology) recent record-high pressure readings.
  • Professor Tom Oliver (Biological Sciences) is quoted by Head Topics criticising HS2's flawed method of calculating the value of nature affected by construction.
